News Release

WINONA LAKE – Lost Sparrows and The Center for Thriving Leaders at Grace Theological Seminary present the mental health summit “Renewing your Mind” from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, April 18, at Westminster Hall in Winona Lake.

Guest speakers Adam Saenz, Ph.D, D. Min. and Deb McEvoy, PSYD, LMHC, will equip educators, ministry leaders, counselors, and caregivers to address the rising rates of anxiety and depression in today’s youth.

“The data are clear: our children and adolescents are struggling with mental illness at higher rates than ever before,” says Saenz. “The good news is that we don’t have to be licensed mental health care professionals to make a positive impact for someone who is struggling. This time together will provide participants with practical strategies to build a positive relational framework with all youth.”

Participants will gain insight into current trends affecting Gen Z, along with tools for meaningful connection, care, and support within educational, ministry, and counseling contexts. Follow-up training sessions will be held in May, September, October and at The Lost Sparrows Healing Childhood Trauma Conference in November.

Mental Health Summit Highlights include:

Sessions with Dr. Adam Saenz: Sáenz is a licensed psychologist, ordained minister, author, and emotional intelligence expert who has worked in education, corporate and non-profit sectors for over 20 years.
