WellSpan Health has renewed an Inspire Grant for the Sexual Assault Resource & Counseling Center’s Connected Together: Trauma Therapy Assessment and Treatment program, extending county-wide mobile trauma assessment and therapy services for children and adults.

The program is supported by trauma therapist Reggie Coles, who provides individual and group therapy, helps clients build coping skills and supports their healing process.

According to WellSpan, its funding supported 653 hours of trauma therapy at SARCC over the past year. The organization said average trauma assessment scores decreased by 30 percent, while children’s trauma scores decreased by 50 percent.

WellSpan also said it awarded grants to nonprofit organizations over the past year, supporting 66 initiatives aligned with the WellSpan Community Health Improvement Plan.
